What is hyperandrogenism?

Hyperandrogenism is a excess androgen hormones (called β€œmale hormones”, such as testosterone) that can disrupt the body and the functioning of the ovaries.
It is one of the most common signs of PCOS, but it can also occur in other hormonal contexts.

How to identify hyperandrogenism?
